Provenge has been validated. The time has come for therapeutic cancer vaccines to become a part of cancer management. Many other vaccines will also be proven safe and effective, as the information about the immune system has become sufficient enough for researchers to overcome previous hurdles on the road to developing effective vaccines.

Telavancin is a once-daily injectable investigational antibiotic with a multifunctional mechanism of action. It was discovered by Theravance in a research program dedicated to finding new antibiotics for serious infections due to Staphylococcus aureus, including MRSA, and other Gram-positive bacteria. Telavancin inhibits the formation of the bacterial cell wall and disrupts bacterial cell membrane function.
