CVBT.OB

Coronary Artery Disease
CARDIOVASCULAR BIOTHERAPEUTICS

CARDIOVASCULAR BIOTHERAPEUTICS (CVBT.OB) focuses on coronary artery disease. Its lead product candidate, Cardio Vascu-Grow, is a fibroblast growth factor protein that induces angiogenesis (blood vessel growth). When injected directly into the heart near affected arteries, Cardio Vascu-Grow has been shown to help repair the artery and increase blood flow to the heart. The company hopes to prove that the candidate will also help stroke victims and diabetes patients. Chairman, president, and CEO Daniel Montano and Chief Clinical Officer Thomas Stegmann each own about 25% of the company.
