(TRMS):  Worldwide and North American sales attain second highest quarter ever.  Total worldwide net sales of FUZEON for the second quarter 2006 were $57.2 million, an increase of 6 percent over the second quarter of 2005. Net sales of FUZEON outside the U.S. and Canada for the second quarter 2006 were $26.2 million, a decrease of 9 percent from the second quarter of 2005.

GILEAD SCIENCES (GILD) agreed to exercise its option to purchase Corus Pharma for $365 million. Gilead anticipates that the deal would close in the third quarter of 2006. Concurrently, Gilead and Novartis Vaccine and Diagnostics, Inc. have entered into an agreement whereby Novartis has agreed to dismiss its ongoing litigation with Corus for an undisclosed payment.
